Absolutely! While almost any beach destination makes for a good ceremony location, there are a few things you should take into consideration. The number one thing to consider when choosing a ceremony location is where you will be staying and getting ready the day of your wedding. Most couples choose the beach right outside of their hotel or condo. However, if you’re not staying near the beach, we’re happy to help you choose a location that’s convenient for you. Another thing to take into account is that some beaches will charge you a permit fee, including Rehoboth Beach and Assateague Island. You can view our Locations page for the rules and permit schedules for each of the different beaches. The ideal time of day for a beach wedding is a few hours before sunset. This is typically between 5 and 7pm, depending on the time of year. This time of day offers cooler temperatures, secluded beaches, and milder skies that are ideal for photographs. For these reasons, we do not plan beach weddings during the middle of the day in the summer. In addition to evening weddings, we also offer sunrise weddings. If you choose to have your wedding in the summer, it must take place before 9am or after 5pm.

Rain is always a possibility if you’re planning a beach wedding. However, over 90 percent of our weddings are not affected in any way by bad weather. Unfortunately, for safety reasons and by law, thunderstorms will prevent us from having your wedding on the beach. Of course, we will do everything we can to have your wedding as originally planned, but on rare occasions, we may have to move the wedding inside. If there is rain in the forecast, it is best not to reschedule your wedding. Oftentimes, the forecast is wrong and the logistics involved in rescheduling your wedding become very complicated when taking your family, guests, officiant, and photographer into account.

Yes, you’ll need to apply for a marriage license in the county you plan on getting married. The marriage license must be obtained by the couple to be married. After the wedding, your officiant will file your marriage license with the county on your behalf.

Your wedding photos will usually be ready within two weeks of your wedding date. Once they are ready, we’ll send you a link to your online gallery where you can view your wedding photos. If you’ve chosen to order a disc of your images, please allow three weeks for this to be delivered to you.

Of course! We would love to photograph your wedding reception. However, additional hours of wedding photography must be ordered ahead of time. If you’d like additional hours of photography, please be sure to let us know in advance.

Due to our high volume of weddings during the summer, please allow three weeks for your wedding video to be delivered to you.

We are happy to provide additional chairs for your wedding. If you need additional chairs, we ask that you order these at least a week before your wedding. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee additional chair rentals the day of your wedding. In any case, we will touch base with you about any need for extra chairs a few weeks before your wedding.
